Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Recognized as the lead federal agency for protecting the health and safety of people - at home and abroad, providing credible information to enhance health decisions, and promoting health through strong partnerships. CDC serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States.

Labor Department

Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) The principal fact-finding agency for the Federal Government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics. The BLS is premier among statistical agencies, producing impartial, timely, and accurate data relevant to the needs of users and to the social and economic conditions of the Nation, its workers and families.

Center of Excellence for Sustainable Development Sustainable development is a strategy by which communities seek economic development approaches that also benefit the local environment and quality of life. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA)

Promotes a better understanding of the U.S. economy by providing the most timely, relevant, and accurate economic accounts data in an objective and cost-effective manner. BEA produces economic accounts statistics that enable government and business decision-makers, researchers, and the American public to follow and understand the performance of the Nation's economy. BEA collects source data, conducts research and analysis, develops and implements estimation methodologies, and disseminates statistics to the public.

US Department of Agricuture (USDA)

USDA Rural Development Committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in all of rural America with financial programs supporting such essential public facilities and services as water and sewer systems, housing, health clinics, emergency service facilities and electric and telephone service. Promotes economic development by supporting loans to businesses through banks and community-managed lending pools and offers technical assistance and information to help agricultural and other cooperatives get started and improve the effectiveness of member services.

National Telecommunications Information

National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) An agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce serving as the Executive Branch's principal voice on domestic and international telecommunications and information technology issues. NTIA works to spur innovation, encourage competition, help create jobs and provide consumers with more choices and better quality telecommunications products and services at lower prices.
